Pastoral Care Ministries

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Our Pastoral Care Ministries help, support, encourage, and comfort people during difficult periods of their lives. The love and compassion of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, is conveyed through His representatives to those whose circumstances may cause them feelings of loneliness, fear, confusion, despair, and helplessness.

Hospital, nursing home, and homebound visitation are designed to provide spiritual care for those in need. Pastoral counseling is available by appointment. Contact with inactive members provides an ongoing challenge and opportunity for pastoral care ministry.

Specific lay opportunities for involvement in our Pastoral Care Ministries include:

Stephen Ministry: Volunteer Christian caregivers specially trained to help in a one-to-one ministry of Christ-centered care during difficult times in a person's life. They do not replace the help provided by trained and educated therapists and counselors.
