                 Men's Ministry

As Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another - Proverbs 27:17

A staple of this ministry is a weekly bible-study breakfast.  Between fifteen and twenty-five hardy souls meet from 6:45 to 7:30 AM every Wednesday.  A light-
but-healthy meal is prepared - and cleaned up - by several retirees among us.
The group is always glad to welcome part-time participants, and several 'regulars'
are with us only during the warmer seasons of the year. Expect spirited fellowship
as well as serious discussion of God's Word ably led by Gary Priskorn.
Present study focus is on Saint Paul's letters to the Thessalonians.

Since 2003 we have sponsored about twenty Saturday-morning men's breakfasts.  These begin with a hearty meal, followed by a presentation by a guest speaker, and  often involve free-wheeling discussions.  Dress is casual.  Discussion can be deep.  Direction is toward fun and Christian fellowship as we attempt to broaden our understanding of our Lord's plan for our lives as men in the twenty-first century.

      Golf and Barbeque
Guys of all ages - and their guests - are invited to this seventh annual outing on Thursday afternoon, August 21.  This nine-hole event, scramble format, is planned for 3:15 p.m. at Lincoln Hills in Birmingham.

Non-golfers - quite a few of us - are invited to join the golfers for a fun, relaxing supper at the home of Joyce and Bill Rolf starting about 6:30 p.m.

Greens fees:  $18.50          Cart:  $7.50
Golfers contact: Walt Sweitzer 248-797-2755

Sign up for either - or both - parts of the event at the desk by the West Entrance, or contact
